Chelsea working on stunning deal to sign £73m La Liga trio
According to the Daily Star, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has made contact with current Ghana coach and former Chelsea manager Avram Grant over the quality of the 20-year-old, as the Portuguese manager wants as much information on the senior Black Stars international as possible.
The left-back has been one of the star performers for Augsburg this term, as the German outfit sealed a place in next season’s Europa League for the first time in their history.
The reported fee of £20m would be a hefty figure for the youngster, but his performances in the Bundesliga have been so impressive this campaign that Mourinho is tempted.
With Felipe Luis’s future at Stamford Bridge uncertain following a debut season playing second-fiddle to first-choice Cesar Azpilicueta, the Blues are set to be in the market for his replacement in defence.
