7) Raheem Sterling’s Liverpool rebellion
Quite why Raheem Sterling wants out of Liverpool so badly is beyond almost everyone. The talented England winger has made a name for himself after getting the chance under Brendan Rodgers last season and has years to move on to play elsewhere if the club does not win trophies.
Still, Liverpool suffered from selling Luis Suarez and shouldn’t be counted out as title challengers again next season if they get their act together – something Sterling should try to be a part of, as he hasn’t necessarily yet shown he is capable of getting into the starting lineups of the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal or Real Madrid so far.
8) Juan Cuadrado’s lack of games
One of the biggest talents not at a top club prior to his move to Chelsea, Juan Cuadrado was wanted by almost every big side in Europe after some dazzling form with Fiorentina. Signed by Chelsea in January, it was expected that the Colombian international would be a key part of Jose Mourinho’s side, though he has barely played.
Willian, meanwhile, who continues to look more like a right-back playing up front, remains first choice on that right-hand side. Could Cuadrado be off already as Barcelona reportedly keep an eye on his situation?
