There has been no shortage of reports linking the Uruguay hitman with a departure from the French champions this summer.

Cavani is believed to be unhappy at the club, with the Metro reporting that he had handed in a transfer request at the beginning of May.

Similarly, the forward has been heavily linked with a move abroad, with both Atletico Madrid and Juventus believed to have made approaches for the former Napoli and Palermo striker.

Manchester United have also been linked to the forward, with Louis van Gaal believed to be eyeing the South American as a potential replacement for Radamel Falcao.

However, the PSG president Al-Khelaifi has thrown water on the reports linking the player with an exit by confirming that the 28-year-old will be at the club next season.

“He his very happy at Paris,” Al-Khelaifi began, as reported by Le 10 Sport, “and I am sure that he will still be here next season.

“There is no problem.”

Cavani found the net 18 times in 35 Ligue 1 appearances this term as PSG have lifted the French title; he also managed six goals in 10 Champions League outings.
