Having secured a Champions League berth for next term it’s likely van Gaal will be handed a significant transfer war-chest in the summer and will look to bring in this exciting young pair as he looks to strengthen his Old Trafford squad.
21 year old Baggies striker Berahino has impressed this term, netting 18 goals in all competitions, and one would imagine the England Under 21 international would have his head turned by interest from giants Man United.
Birmingham City winger Gray has matured into an excellent prospect with the 18 year old racking up 43 appearances this season and has clearly attracted the attention of Man United scouts.
Whilst it’s unlikely that either capture would be first team regulars next term, should they indeed be signed, the duo are clearly players with bright futures and will help Man United to adhere to home-grown player quotas.
