Spurs striker Kane walked to the award with a landslide win as eight out of the 10 fanatix writers picked the England international, who has scored 30 goals this season.

In order to mix up the voting rules for the 2014-15 fanatix Writers’ Young Player of the Year award, all candidates had to be 22 years old or younger.

Check out the reasons below as to why the majority of fanatix writers picked the Spurs hitman…

Jordan Chamberlain voted for Harry Kane

“It’s got to be Kane, despite the annoying ‘He’s one of our own’ chant. I don’t think 23-year-old Eden Hazard should qualify as a ‘young player,’ so I’m choosing England’s next starting centre-forward. Next season will be a true test of his abilities, however. Can he do it again?”

Mohamuud Jama voted for Harry Kane

“Numbers speak for themselves and his patience has been rewarded.”

Mark Apostolou voted for Harry Kane

“Any player who racks up 30+ goals in a season deserves the utmost credit, but to do so with a club who have been woefully inconsistent is another feather in Kane’s cap It’s also worth noting he wasn’t even a first choice starter when the campaign began!”

Jordan Harris voted for Harry Kane

“Great first season that no one expected. Hopefully, he can bring that form to England in the future.”

Max Miller voted for Harry Kane

“Like Sergio Aguero, Kane has over 30 goals, albeit with some coming against smaller sides in the Europa League. Let’s not get carried away until we see if he does it again next season, but the striker could be good enough to help both Spurs and England do great things in the coming years.”

Adam Davies voted for Hector Bellerin

“When Arsenal had their multi-annual injury crisis last October, Arsene Wenger was forced to throw Spanish defender Bellerin in at the deep end. He had a dreadful game against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on his debut, but his improvement since has been pretty remarkable. Bellerin has looked vastly superior to the season’s initial rookie defender Calum Chambers at right back (though the Englishman is more likely to become a central defender), and the 20-year-old’s progress has been such that there are calls from Gunners fans for him to start the FA Cup final ahead of the more experienced Mathieu Debuchy. Harry Kane’s been excellent of course, but I’m going for Bellerin because he hadn’t played in the Premier League before this season. Kane showed signs of his scoring form towards the back end of the last campaign, but Bellerin has come from nowhere.”

Ed Dove voted for Harry Kane

“Late goals, important goals, all kinds of goals – exploded onto the scene, gave hope when there was none at White Hart Lane, papered over more cracks than an interior decorator and was rewarded with a superb England debut.”

Katie Kapusta voted for Harry Kane

“He was in the running for the FWA Footballer of the Year and is still so young and has so much potential and room to improve. Twenty Prem goals in 100 shots – that is pretty good!”

Tashan Deniran-Alleyne voted for Harry Kane

“The Tottenham forward has done fantastically since breaking into the team in November. To score 20 goals in such a short space of time is a great achievement.”

Steve Green voted for Jack Grealish

“He may have only just broke though into the Villa side, but he tore into Liverpool during the FA Cup semi final and has already been targeted by opposition defenders as a man to mark closely. Seemingly able to roll past players as though they aren’t there, his ability on the ball is second to none and he is already at the centre of a tug of war between England and Ireland
