The Poland international has had a good season with il Toro, helping them to challenge for the Europa League qualification places in Serie A as well as manage a good run in the competition itself. The centre-back has helped the cause with nine goals in 42 appearances for the Italian side, leading the side from the front.
This will have caught the eye of United boss Louis van Gaal, with the Red Devils looking like they need some more experience at the back. Chris Smalling and Phil Jones have been injured for large periods of the current campaign, leaving youngsters such as Tyler Blackett and Paddy McNair to hold the fort.
Meanwhile Spurs have conceded a massive 53 goals in their 36 Premier League games this season, meaning that defensive reinforcements will be high on manager Mauricio Pochettino’s wishlist over the summer. Whether they will be able to beat the big spending Old Trafford outfit to Glik’s signing is another matter though.
