The 25-year-old is considered to be among the most talented defenders in France, and has long been the subject of transfer speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League.
Merseyside pair Liverpool and Everton, as well as Newcastle United and Arsenal have been linked to the Cameroon centre-back.
With his contract at the Stade Velodrome coming to an end in 2016, and with OM looking to sell players in order to raise much-needed funds, N’Koulou has been one of several players linked with a move away from Provence this summer.
The likes of Andre Ayew, Florian Thauvin, Rod Fanni, Steve Mandanda, Giannelli Imbula and Andre-Pierre Gignac have all been rumoured to be planning a cross-Channel switch from Marcelo Bielsa’s team to the EPL.
Speaking to Top Mercato, the former AS Monaco man has refused to deny that a transfer away from OM is on the cards this summer.
“No decision has been taken,” he began, “it will depend on lots of factors.
“I have my share of responsibility, but it’s necessary to get everything together that is required.”
However, the stopper did indicate that his preference would be to stay at the domestic giants.
“I have never wanted to leave,” he continued, “therefore, it’s difficult to respond.
“I am under contract, and we will take things as they come.”
