Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao’s mum Carmenza has claimed that the Colombian expects to stay at Old Trafford next season, reports the Daily Express.

The striker’s future at the club has come in to doubt after a terrible debut season in the Premier League. The 29-year-old has only scored four goals and created the same amount again for his teammates in 25 matches for the Red Devils during this campaign, albeit with 12 of those appearances coming from the bench.
The high price that AS Monaco want for the out of form forward is also a stumbling block in him making his temporary deal permanent. However, the Old Trafford hierarchy have apparently bee in talks with the Ligue 1 club about a compromise fee after his poor first season and recent Financial Fair Play sanctions imposed on the principality based side.
His mum still thinks that the former Atletico Madrid man will stay with United, unless ‘God shows him the way.’ This could be a sign that the ageing striker is set to extend his stay in the Premier League.
Carmenza Falcao said: “While it is unfortunate he can’t keep his place, he must accept professionally the decisions of the coach. He leaves the rest in the hands of God. We must respect Van Gaal as a coach and his way of working.
“I don’t think what he does with Falcao is anything personal, because he also does the same thing with Angel Di Maria and Robin van Persie. It’s his way of working and it must be respected. Results remain the most important thing for the management of Manchester United and we will see what succeeds.”
She continued: “Falcao has nothing to prove to the press, Van Gaal or anyone. He knows what he can do as a footballer and there is a reason why he came to Manchester United. We must wait and take things as they come.
“This is a situation that is not normal compared to the other things he has experienced in his career, but it happens in the world of football. If God shows him a new way, he will leave Manchester. Otherwise, he will remain.”
