Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas remains adamant over seeing out his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu – even if that means playing second-fiddle to transfer target David de Gea next season.

Spanish newspaper Marca claim that the Spaniard has no desire to leave and will refuse to be forced out of Madrid by the mooted arrival of no.1 summer transfer target de Gea.
According to the report, Casillas has acknowledged that his boyhood club are chasing the Manchester United stopper, but is happy to stay put – even if that means playing reserve goalkeeper to his international team-mate.
His situation at Real has become strained with his unconvincing performances resulting in whistles and catcalls at the Santiago Bernabeu – most recently in the 2-2 draw to Valencia at the weekend, which all but ended the club’s La Liga title hopes.
Nonetheless, Marca report that, despite the 33-year-old’s unhappiness over the criticism he’s receiving from Los Blancos, he will see out his contract, which expires in 2017.
Carlo Ancelotti, too, is unfazed by the critics of his keeper, and is set to start Casillas in the second-leg Champions League semi-final tie versus Juventus on Wednesday night.
