The goal came off a Steven Nzoni cross, with a mis-timed header by Jan Vertonghen falling perfectly for Charlie Adam on the edge of the six yard box.
Adam has been in fine form recently. He was nominated for the April player of the month award, and has now scored four goals in his last six games, including three in his last four.
If Spurs manage to turn the game around and win they will go level with Liverpool in fifth – with the Reds going to Stamford Bridge tomorrow. Stoke could equal their club record Premier League points with one more victory. Their current record stands at 50.
There are currently 15 minutes to half time.
