The Argentine youngster has had a highly impressive campaign in La Liga this year, scoring 18 goals and providing 6 assists in all competitions to establish himself as one of the finest young forwards in the game.
Vietto certainly looks a player who could fit in well at Anfield, with Reds boss Brendan Rodgers in need of more attacking options after failing to adequately replace Luis Suarez last summer.
With Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert struggling and Daniel Sturridge missing large chunks of the season through injury, it makes sense that Liverpool could be about to fork out around £30m to bring Vietto to Merseyside in the summer.
According to the Daily Express, the 21-year-old’s agent lists Liverpool as one of the many clubs interested in his client, saying: “We know that a lot of big clubs are watching Luciano Vietto. There is a lot of competition for him.
“He could sign for Liverpool, we know that he is admired by the Reds, as well as Real Madrid and two Bundesliga clubs. I think he could leave Villarreal in the summer.”
