Liverpool are planning on a £65m swoop for PSV Eindhoven’s Memphis Depay, Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke, and Barcelona loanee Alex Song.
With Liverpool finishing just two points off Premier League champions Manchester City last season, much more was expected from the club this term. However, thanks to the departure of Luis Suarez, a series of injuries to Daniel Sturridge, and a number of summer signings failing to deliver, the Reds have hugely disappointed.
As a result, a busy summer is expecting for Brendan Rodgers, as he will be looking to bolster his team in the upcoming transfer window.

According to the Daily Star, Rodgers has listed Benteke, Depay and Song on his transfer wishlist, but the Merseyside club will have to part with a sizeable figure for the star trio.
Aston Villa star Benteke is expected to command a fee around £30m having sprouted into life in the second half of the season, and if Tim Sherwood’s side are relegated, the Belgian will almost certainly look for an escape route. The reports claim that Rickie Lambert could be used as part of a swap deal for the forward.
Depay, meanwhile, has been in stunning form, scoring 27 times, and is expected to leave the Philips Stadion at the end of the season after expressing that it would be a dream to make a “big move” in the summer, via the Manchester Evening News. Only last week, Manchester United made an official enquiry on his availability, as reported by Sky Sports. The Red Devils, however, face Premier League competition, as Liverpool are keen on the Netherlands international – who is valued at £25m.
Song is currently on loan at West Ham United from Barcelona, and has reportedly expressed a desire to remain in England. A £10m offer could be enough to tempt the Spanish giants into cashing in on the former Arsenal midfielder.
