Griezmann goal
This source claims that the Premier League table toppers are aware of the French international’s £43m release clause and could look to trigger it this summer.
Jose Mourinho has of course successfully raided the Vicente Calderon outfit in the recent past, signing Diego Costa and Felipe Luis from the Spanish outfit last summer, and as such Diego Simeone may well fear the potential loss of a player who only joined the club a year ago.
A move for Griezmann could be the icing on the cake with regards to the effectiveness of Chelsea’s already impressive attack.
The former Real Sociedad could perhaps prove a more menacing option than the likes of Willian or Juan Cuadrado, with Griezmann proving very effective in front of goal.
The 24 year old has netted an incredible 22 goals in 24 La Liga starts this term and may perhaps be tempted by the possibility of a move to Chelsea after seeing Atletico crash out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage and in all likelihood set to lose their domestic crown to boot.
