Destro has caught the eye in Serie A before, though he is not currently in the best of form in a six-month loan spell at the San Siro, scoring just two goals since joining the club from AS Roma.
Still, the Italian international looked a promising prospect for Roma last season, with speculation that he could make the switch to the Premier League.
According to the Metro, Arsenal now look ready to revive their interest with an £11.8m bid for the 24-year-old, with calls for the Gunners to improve their current strikeforce.
Olivier Giroud continues to draw critics at the Emirates Stadium, while summer signing Danny Welbeck has not had a great season either since joining from Manchester United, scoring just eight goals in all competitions.
