Liverpool transfer news
The Reds are in urgent need of reinforcements in attack after losing Luis Suarez to Barcelona last summer, while replacement signings Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert have failed to do the business this season.
Repeated injury problems to Daniel Sturridge have also forced manager Brendan Rodgers to take to the transfer market for new additions to his strikeforce, and it looks like Jovetic is one of the names on his list.
The Montenegro international could cost around £16m, but looks a risky buy considering his own injury problems and lack of form since moving to the Etihad Stadium last summer.
The 25-year-old has only managed a total of 11 goals in 39 games for City, and has not adapted well to life in England, though according to the Daily Star, that has not stopped the Reds tracking him.
