Chelsea transfer news
GK: Thibaut Courtois
An easy choice in goal, Thibaut Courtois has been world class since becoming Chelsea’s number one at the start of the season.
DR: Branislav Ivanovic
A huge player for Chelsea, Branislav Ivanovic definitely gets the nod at right-back, despite the promise of Arsenal youngster Hector Bellerin.
DL: Cesar Azpilicueta
A rock-solid left-back, Cesar Azpilicueta has remained a key player for the Blues this term despite the signing of Filipe Luis.
DC: John Terry
Still one of the best defenders in Europe on his day, John Terry is another Chelsea player who comfortably makes it into this combined XI.
DC: Gary Cahill
Just in ahead of Laurent Koscielny, Gary Cahill has been another pivotal part of the Blues’ success in the Premier League this season.
MC: Nemanja Matic
A terrific defensive midfielder, Nemanja Matic makes it into the side ahead of Arsenal’s Francis Coquelin, who still has to prove himself over a longer period.
MC: Santi Cazorla
Finally an Arsenal player! Santi Cazorla looks a better bet for this role than Cesc Fabregas at the moment, and starts in the creative midfield role.
AMR: Alexis Sanchez
A world class attacking midfielder, Alexis Sanchez has been a great signing for Arsenal and is definitely one of few Gunners stars who’d get in the Chelsea side.
AML: Eden Hazard
Another top class attacker, Eden Hazard lines up on the left-hand side and will probably beat Sanchez to the PFA Player of the Year award.
AMC: Mesut Ozil
On current form, there may even be a place for the ever-divisive Mesut Ozil ahead of players like Oscar.
FC: Diego Costa
A controversial choice on current form, but Diego Costa is still a class above Olivier Giroud on his day and a major reason Chelsea will finish as champions.
