Former Chelsea man Ancelotti miles apart from Man City valuation
According to Grant Wahl, the senior football reporter at ESPN, who has been speaking to American sports broadcaster Fox Sports this week, he revealed, with a great deal of certainty, that Manchester City have been in touch with Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti regarding a summer move.
Wahl went on to claim that the Italian has been informed by the Italian giants that, unless he triumphs in La Liga or the Champions League, he will be given the boot at the end of the season.
The former Chelsea boss’ current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu is set to expire in June 2016, and no extension is yet to have been offered.
Manchester City are set to end this season trophy-less following FA Cup and Champions League misery, as well as currently sitting 12 points adrift of title leaders Chelsea.
Serious work is needed over the summer if the Sky Blues are to return to winning ways – and as a result Pellegrini could be the first to leave the club when the campaign ends.
