The midfielder scored from a counter attack that started when the Belgian side gave the ball away from one of their own free kicks. With only nine minutes to reply the Blauw-Zwart were unable to even muster a single shot on target.

For most of the match the two sides looked too nervous to play at their best. This was after they drew 0-0 in the first leg, meaning a single mistake could be enough to finish it. In the end this was true.

In the first period Dnipro were the only side that tried to break the deadlock, with Yevhen Konoplyanka summing up their efforts with this easily saved set piece.

Their opponents sparked in to some sort of life in the second half, but were still unable to have a shot on target in the entire 90 minutes. They eventually paid for this, with Shakhov scoring the late winner.
