After this it seems that manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to remodel his squad. As part of this he is going to sell these nine players to raise funds according to the London Evening Standard.
The departees are as follows.
9) Vlad Chiriches
The Romanian doesn’t make it in to the side when everyone is fit, and with Roma apparently still interested after missing out two years ago he could be leaving soon.
8) Younes Kaboul
Although he started the season as club captain, the Frenchman has fallen out of favour through the campaign and hasn’t started a Premier League match since November. There are still sure to be suitors for the defender though.
7) Paulinho
The 26-year-old hasn’t really played like a £17 million player since arriving from Corinthians, and it now seems that Spurs are going to give up on waiting for him to start.
6) Mousa Dembele
He may be a very talented player, but the Belgian doesn’t seem to have any natural position. Maybe a club where he is allowed to roam in midfield may allow for a return to form.
5) Aaron Lennon
Already out on loan at Everton, the winger looks destined to leave with his contract ending after next season. The Toffees could be interested in him, but his £7 million price tag might be a stumbling block.
4) Emmanuel Adebayor
The emergence of Harry Kane has pushed the former Arsenal man to the wayside. However, his £100,000 a week wages may put clubs off signing the Togo international.
3) Roberto Soldado
Sixteen goals in 75 appearances for the North London club isn’t a great return on £26 million. Pochettino may have to take a big loss when selling, but it will probably still be worth getting rid.
2) Benjamin Stambouli
The 24-year-old hasn’t really been given a chance since arriving in the summer. He has only made ten appearances in the Premier League, six of which have come from the bench. If he isn’t going to get in ahead of Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb then maybe it is time for the Frenchman to move on.
1) Etienne Capoue
Another who has suffered from the dominance of Mason and Bentaleb. After costing £9.3 million when he signed the Frenchman could also be another who Spurs take a big loss on.
