Former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic is reportedly the subject of a lucrative offer from his old club, Spartak Moscow.

According to Izvestia, the Russian outfit have put a money-spinning two-year contract on the table in the hope of luring the towering centre-half back to the club where he shone between 2004 and 2006 prior to his Old Trafford switch.
Injury has interrupted his debut season in Serie A, with the 33-year-old making only 22 appearances in all competitions, but his contract does not expire until 2017 and the San Siro giants have asked to postpone talks about his future until the end of the current campaign.
After a slow start to life in England Vidic went on to become an integral part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s backline, and tasted Champions League glory with them in 2008 when they famously beat rivals Chelsea in a penalty shoot-out in Moscow.
His final campaign for the Red Devils came under David Moyes last term, and by the time the Scot was sacked in April, Vidic had already decided to join Inter on a free transfer.
With the Italians languishing almost halfway down the Serie A table, Vidic may feel the summer is the right time to embark on a new challenge, if a fee can be agreed between the two clubs.
