The Bavarians trail 3-1 from the first game in Portugal after Julen Lopetegui’s Porto side upset the competition favourites by taking full advantage of an error-strewn performance from the German champions.
Pep Guardiola’s side need to win by two clear goals in order to progress into the semi-finals and Muller is confident his side have the necessary firepower to overturn the deficit at the Allianz Arena.
“It would not be a footballing miracle if we scored two goals.” The German World Cup winner said at a pre-match press conference (via The Sun)
“We want the pressure. You have to deal with negative pressure. It’s not so easy but it’s a challenge.”
“It’s not like playing friendlies in the summer. I like matches where you are under pressure.” he added.
Bayern’s chances of going through are some what hampered with the club’s every growing injury list as the likes of Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery, David Alaba and Medhi Benatia are all set to miss the crucial tie.
However influential midfielder Bastian Schweinstegier could be fit enough to make the bench after recovering sufficiently from a knock which has sidelined him since the start of the month.
