The striker snapped his cruciate ligament in his right knee during the game against Huracan last weekend. At first the reaction was normal and he had to leave the field on a stretcher and in tears.
However, instead of asking to be substituted, he decided to return to the action, and a few minutes later he scored a beautiful goal that made it 2-0 for his team.
Despite his heroic performance during the game, he could not avoid surgery. He was operated on earlier on Wednesday and it is thought he will be out for at least six months while he undergoes his lengthy recovery process.
