After beating Leon 1-0 at the weekend, Chivas are now top of the league for the first time in almost four years.
They are one of the most successful and popular teams in Mexican football and they currently have eleven league titles, only one behind their biggest rivals, Club America.
The club also holds the record for the second longest winning streak at the beginning of a season, with 8 consecutive victories.
Despite all the successes the club have had through the years, they have been in serious danger of being relegated this season after successive poor campaigns; Mexico uses a rolling three year average to decide who goes down each season.
