1) Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

Surely the obvious winner, Harry Kane has been sensational for Tottenham this season, bursting onto the scene with 19 Premier League goals at the age of just 21.

2) Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

A delightful player to watch the super-skillful Philippe Coutinho has had another stand-0ut campaign for Liverpool, emerging as one of the Premier League’s best playmakers.

3) Oscar (Chelsea)

Another Brazilian starlet, Oscar has been key for Chelsea this season in their run to what looks like victory in the Premier League title race.

4) Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea)

Another Chelsea youngster with a great future, Thibaut Courtois has been one of the best goalkeepers in the country this term and would surely be a contender even though keepers don’t tend to win these awards.

5) Christian Eriksen (Tottenham Hotspur)

Another impressive Tottenham player, Christian Eriksen showed some glimpses of truly top form for Spurs this season, but has probably not been consistent enough to take the prize.

6) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

One of the best young English talents, Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling could be an outsider for the award, but has also not quite been consistent enough this term.

7) Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)

An outsider, but still one worth considering – Hector Bellerin has been a real revelation since becoming a first-teamer for Arsenal, looking a top class attacking right-back.

8) Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton)

Another outstanding prospect at right-back, Nathaniel Clyne has been superb all season long for Southampton but is surely not fancied enough to take the award.

9) Emre Can (Liverpool)

A great debut season at Liverpool, Emre Can looks another top young talent who could be a future winner of this award, though he is not quite there yet.

10) Victor Wanyama (Southampton)

Another big outsider, but Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama is one of the unsung heroes of the Premier League, enjoying another great season at this level.
