Arsenal legend David Seaman has had his say on the goalkeeping debate surrounding the club with Arsene Wenger currently favouring Colombian international David Ospina between the sticks, but talk of a summer move for Petr Cech persist, The Independent reports.
Wojciech Szczesny may have the No.1 jersey assigned to him, but he hasn’t started a league game since New Years Day, calling his long-term future into question.
Despite Ospina’s credible performances he is yet to convince as a bonafide first choice ‘keeper for a club aiming to win the league and challenge the top teams across the continent.

“With Wojciech, it must be hard for him now to be number two, coming off the back of a season where he was a regular and had been playing at his best, but it is totally just because he had a couple of bad mistakes and Ospina has gone in and done his stuff,” Seaman was quoted as saying in the publication.
“Either of them could be Arsenal’s number one, it is about who is on form – and if Ospina keeps his form, then he is going to stay there.”
It could be argued that the Gunners are yet to replace Seaman adequately, although Jens Lehmann was consistent in the Invincibles season, and vital as Arsenal reached their only ever Champions League final in 2006.
However, according to Matt Law from The Telegraph, Chelsea shot-stopper Petr Cech could be set for a move to the Emirates (via Sky Sports) which would signal Wenger’s intent on adding a proven goalkeeper to his squad.
