Sunday’s Ligue 1 action concludes when Olympique de Marseille travel to Girondins de Bordeaux in the game’s late kick off.
When: 8.00 pm GMT, 12 April 2015
Where: Stade Chaban-Delmas, Bordeaux
There is a sense that OM’s season is unravelling.
They felt aggrieved in the middle of March when a refereeing error denied them a late goal—and an almost-certain 1-0 victory over title rivals Olympique Lyonnais, while they will be disappointed at having capitulated so comprehensively against Paris Saint-Germain at home last weekend.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have enjoyed some fine runs and some excellent victories this season, but a desperate defeat has never been too far away—not least when they were stunned 3-2 at home against Caen recently.
While Marseille remain only five points of leaders Paris Saint-Germain, they have dropped out of the Champions League places after Monaco leapfrogged them following their convincing victory against Caen on Friday evening.
With games at a premium, Bielsa must at least ensure that his good work this season ends with a return to the Champions League, while privately hoping that PSG slip up.
