Here are our predictions for this week’s Premier League fixtures:

Swansea 1-2 Everton

The Swans dispatched a poor Hull City side 3-1 last time out, but Everton are likely to prove stiffer competition.

Roberto Martinez’s side have seen a slight upturn in form recently, having won three on the trot in the Premier League. They will be looking to continue that trend at the Liberty Stadium, but it won’t be easy.

Southampton 2-0 Hull

The Saints have struggled for goals at times, but should have more than enough about them to see off Hull at home.

Steve Bruce’s side are still in huge danger of relegation this season, and could slip into the bottom three this weekend.

Tottenham 1-2 Aston Villa

Spurs’ quest for Champions League football appears to have ended prematurely once again, with their goalless draw against Burnley leaving them seven points adrift of fourth placed Manchester City.

Villa have looked reinvigorated under Tim Sherwood, and appear to have plenty of goals in them. They still look susceptible at the back, but if Tottenham don’t wake up then there could be an upset at White Hart Lane.

Sherwood will also be extra motivated to get something out of this game given his history with the home side.

Sunderland 1-3 Crystal Palace

Palace are one of the in form teams in the Premier League at the moment, and have been particularly superb away from home.

They are coming off the back of a fantastic win over reigning champions Manchester City, and will be confident of a win over relegation candidates Sunderland.

Glenn Murray is in fantastic form for Palace, and although Dick Advocaat got his first win as Sunderland boss last weekend, he may struggle to make it two on the bounce.

West Bromwich Albion 1-0 Leicester City

The Baggies were soundly beaten by QPR in a shock 4-1 loss last time around, and will be looking to bounce back immediately. Tony Pulis will no doubt have put extra emphasis on defensive stability during the week, so this game is unlikely to have many goals in it.

West Ham 1-2 Stoke

Stoke have been unlucky recently, and will be hoping to end that streak at Upton Park. West Ham have really struggled for form in the second half of the season, and have plummeted down the table since the new year.

It’s a hard one to call, but Stoke should just edge it.

Burnley 0-2 Arsenal

The Clarets are fighting hard to avoid relegation, and could prove a potential banana skin for Arsene Wenger’s side.

The Gunners are in fine form however, and providing they don’t get complacent they should have more than enough about them to see off Sean Dyche’s side.

Queens Park Rangers 2-4 Chelsea

QPR have been in fine scoring form recently, putting four past West Brom and scoring a further three against Aston Villa. They have to go all out to get the win if they are looking to avoid relegation, and that could be their downfall.

Chelsea have struggled for form, but have still been picking up points. They should thrive in an open game against Chris Ramsey’s relegation candidates, and we could see plenty of goals.

Manchester United 2-1 Manchester City

Louis van Gaal’s side are playing some of their best football of the season, and have leapfrogged their noisy neighbours and moved up into third spot.

City have really struggled recently, and their shock loss against Crystal Palace showed just how far they’ve fallen.

They say form goes out the window on derby day, but the in form team should get the win here.

Liverpool 2-1 Newcastle

Brendan Rodgers has gone from Merseyside saint to flirting with unemployment in a matter of weeks, with a handful of disappointing performances all but ending their hunt for Champions League football.

Newcastle were looking safe before Alan Pardew left for Palace, but their poor form as of late has seen them slip down the table.

They are unlikely to get back to winning ways against Liverpool, who will be looking to bounce back from their huge loss at the Emirates.
