AS Monaco will be looking to put an end to their winless run when they travel to Stade Malherbe Caen on Friday evening.

When: 7.30 pm GMT, 10 April 2015

Where: Stade Michel d’Ornano, Caen

The Monegasques have seen their momentum fade away in recent games. They could only manage draws in their last two matches-against AS Saint-Etienne and Montpellier Herault Sport Club-and will be aware that two victories would have taken them into the top three and only three points off leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

As things stand, they remain in fourth, but have the opportunity to leapfrog Olympique de Marseille-in third on 57 points-when they kick off the Ligue 1 weekend away at Caen. Monaco are unbeaten in seven, and while they need to rediscover their winning touch, they are unlikely to be defeated against the Normandy side.

Patrice Garande’s side, however, are fighting for their own security at the wrong end of the division. Caen may have secured an unlikely 2-1 victory away at FC Nantes last weekend, but they are not completely out of danger.

With six games to play they sit in 12th place, six points clear of the relegation zone.

Caen will hope that Monaco are distracted by the prospect of next week’s Champions League game against Juventus, and tired after having already played twice in the last seven days.
