A plethora of Premier League talent is out of contract in the summer, and most should have no problem in attracting a new club – including Manchester City’s James Milner and Burnley’s Danny Ings.
Not to mention the most unfortunate player in England’s top-flight – Arsenal’s injury-prone Abou Diaby.
Take a look at the impressive free XI, as posted by Sky Sports, up for grabs at the end of the season in England’s top-flight…

Brad Friedel – Tottenham Hotspur
The 43-year-old has bags of experience in the Premier League having worn the shirt of Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa, and current club Tottenham.
The American is still so highly respected that the Telegraph reported Jose Mourinho might even consider Friedel as a viable replacement to Petr Cech at Chelsea.
Glen Johnson – Liverpool
With no new offer having been tabled, it seems the right-back isn’t a part of Brendan Rodgers’ future plans at Anfield.
Despite showing signs of becoming one of the best in position, his decision-making and positioning has left him susceptible in defence throughout his career.
Ron Vlaar – Aston Villa
The Netherlands international is a star for his country, and was outstanding in the 2014 Brazil World Cup, but injury has halted his playing time this season.
Nonetheless, Vlaar would be an ideal fit for any clubs in need of a powerful centre-back.
Kolo Toure – Liverpool
Often the butt of online jokes since moving to Anfield, but the Ivorian has had a glistening career in the Premier League – and his experience – even simply behind the scenes – would be a valuable asset to any side.
Jon Flanagan – Liverpool
The full-back, capable of playing on either flank, had a stunning season in the 2013/14 campaign in which the Reds came within agonising touching distance of winning the Premier League title.
Injury has seen the youngster spend the entire current campaign on the sidelines, but despite his absence this term, it would be surprising if Brendan Rodgers allows the promising defender to leave.
James Milner – Manchester City
The most sought after player on the list – the England international is an unsung hero in the Manchester City midfield. Despite much of his playing time this season coming as a result of Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri’s absence, his performances continue to prove that he is worthy of playing a top club.
Mathieu Flamini – Arsenal
The 31-year-old controversially returned to the Emirates in the summer, and having made a promising start to the season, the Frenchman has spent 2015 warming the substitutes bench – leaving his future uncertain.
Abou Diaby – Arsenal
Diaby has suffered an astonishing 42 injuries in nine years with the Gunners – and in spite of making his return with the Arsenal Under-21s in April, the midfielder is set to be released – putting both club and player put out of their misery.
Danny Ings – Burnley
The 22-year-old is one of three promising English strikers to breakthrough this season, along with Spur’s Harry Kane and Queens Park Rangers’ Charlie Austin. Liverpool, according to This Is Anfield, leading the chase for his signature.
Emmanuel Adebayor – Tottenham Hotspur
The Spurs forward, unbelievably, was once worth £25m after the striker sealed a switch from Arsenal to Manchester City – but such has been his downfall, largely in his reputation, that he is set to freely leave White Hart Lane at the end of the season.
Didier Drogba – Chelsea
The Stamford Bridge legend returned to the club in the summer, and while much of his playing time has been limited to cameo appearances, the Ivorian has netted against Manchester United and Tottenham this term.
Despite being a free agent in the summer, we would expect Jose Mourinho to offer the Blues hero a role with the backroom staff, if he hangs up his boots.
