A truly weird rumour surfaced on Wednesday, claiming that former Preston North End and Leicester City defender Sean St. Ledger is dating pop sensation Taylor Swift.

The Republic of Ireland international moved to the USA to play for MLS side Orlando City recently and on New Year’s Eve posted a picture with the singer to send the rumours in to overdrive. These have now resurfaced after RTE football correspondent Tony O’Donoghue pressed the 30-year-old on the matter and he only said that he was “sitting on the fence” according to Goal.com.
This has sent social media in to overdrive, with Twitter especially amazed by the news. Could the Irishman really be going out with the musician?
