Carlo Ancelotti’s side thumped Granada to help re-ignite their push for the La Liga title.
Gareth Bale opened the scoring with a composed finish after rounding the keeper on 25 minutes.
There then followed a sublime Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick within the space of eight minutes.
On the half hour the Bernabeu star curled in as Granada’s defence started to creak.
Ronaldo got his second six minutes later after Granada keeper Olazabal parried into his path.

On 54 minutes a cross field ball from Marcelo was flicked on by Bale and Ronaldo netted from close range to grab his fourth of the afternoon.
Robert Ibanez ran through to grab a consolation for Granada.
Diego Mainz netted a comical own goal on 83 minutes to make it 8-1.
