Outspoken agent Mino Raiola has already begun to get on the wrong side of Everton fans by suggesting that striker Romelu Lukaku will one day play for a “big club”, the Metro reports.
The 21-year-old signed with the fast talking Italian earlier this week, and can now expect such stellar service that he usually reserves for the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
But unfortunately for the Belgian goal ace, that also means alienation from his own fans.
Lukaku made an impact during a loan spell with the Toffees, hitting 18 goals in 45 appearances before making the permanent switch last summer so the Blues could make room for £32m man Diego Costa.
However, Raiola has put his neck on the line by making a bold claim about his new client being better than his replacement, stating that he didn’t think Costa matched up to the standards that the Belgian frequently sets.
“If we had met each other earlier, he would not have played for Everton,” Raiola told Belgian publication Sudinfo.
“I want to be clear: Romelu is a better striker than Diego Costa and could have done the same as the Spaniard did this season.
“Later on, he’ll play for one of the world’s best teams: PSG, Manchester City, Manchester United or Bayern Munich.
“Nothing is impossible as Rom has great potential.”
