Liverpool star Raheem Sterling has admitted that he wants to be working with high quality players as his contract talks rumble on, reports the Daily Mirror.

The Reds lost Luis Suarez to Barcelona last summer and club legend Steven Gerrard is leaving for LA Galaxy at the end of the season. This campaign sees the Merseyside club struggling to qualify for the Champions League after finishing second in the Premier League last time round, and Sterling has admitted both will be difficult to replace.
The England international said: “You really want to be working with world-class players day in, day out. It’s obviously left a little dent, these two world-class superstars leaving.”
What’s more, Daniel Sturridge – last season’s second top scorer for Liverpool with 21 Premier League strikes – has missed the majority of the campaign with injury. That total, coupled with Suarez’s 31 from 2013-14, has meant the Reds have missed out on 52 goals from last term.
Sterling is the Reds’ joint top scorer in the top flight this season with Steven Gerrard. Both only have six goals apiece.
Sterling does give Liverpool fans some hope though, saying: “I think we have good players coming through at Liverpool.”
The 20-year-old has already turned down a £90,000 a week deal according to the Mirror, and Arsenal are hovering should negotiations deteriorate further. The Gunners have several players who are seen as being at the top of the game, such as Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
