The Metro have come up with a cracker in attempting to fool Man United fans into thinking that Louis van Gaal has signed the Olympic champion, and will offer the 28-year-old a run-out in the reserves to prove his quality.

Bolt, a Red Devils fan, has openly admitted it would be a dream to play at Old Trafford, and was quoted in the Daily Mail in July 2014 insisting that fans should believe he could one day play for the Premier League giants.

The Jamaica superstar said, “It’s a big dream. Believe in me.”

The eight-time World champion even went so far as confidently stating in 2011 that, if given the chance, he could be as good as England captain Wayne Rooney.

“So I am thinking I definitely want to try and see what I could do. I think I could step up to the Rooneys, I think I could do well,” as quoted by the Telegraph.

Hilariously, the newspaper claimed that Bolt would bring forward his retirement from athletics to focus on earning a place in van Gaal’s first-team.
