How Arsenal could line-up with reported target Raheem Sterling in the XI
Why it’s time to offload this Arsenal star to make way for this huge summer signing who could be their ‘Next Thierry Henry’
The Gunners have been linked to the 20-year-old by the Daily Mirror as he continues to stall over signing a new deal to stay at Anfield. The report mentions Wenger’s long term admiration for the England international, even trying to sign him as a 10-year-old.
With the youngster recently having to play at left wing-back for the Merseyside club, there is a chance that an opportunity to play in his preferred attacking midfield role could be a motivating factor with regards to an Anfield exit. Wright thinks that the North London club should do anything to get the forward to play for them.
If Arsenal do try and sign Sterling it would be a huge transfer for the club, in the same way that recent moves involving Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez helped expel the notion that the north London club were spendthrifts.
