The two sides met at the Helong Stadium in Hunan province for an international friendly on Friday evening.
While China may be happy at having twice come from behind to draw, Haiti will regret letting another opportunity for a notable victory pass them by.
The visitors opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark when former Nancy-Lorraine man Jeff Louis nicked the ball from keeper Wang Dalei before firing home.
China came out strong after the break and equalised through Yang Xu.
However, interplay between Wilde Guerrier and Duckens Nazon led to the former again putting the Caribbean side into the lead with just over 15 minutes to play.
They couldn’t hold onto their advantage and Yu Dabao saved face with an equaliser on 82 minutes, leaping to head a corner past the stranded Placide.
The keeper has featured 21 times for Stade de Reims so far this season, but has been criticised for his concentration as the Champenois have registered the worst defensive record in the division.
