Xavi edges toward Barca exit as he enters talks with Qatari side Al Sadd over €10million-a-year deal

Xavi looks set to return to Barcelona as manager

Barcelona legend Xavi is nearing an astonishing exit from the club as he has entered talks with Qatari club Al Sadd over penning a three-year deal worth €30m, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 35-year-old has widely been tipped to depart the Catalan giants over the summer, and is currently weighing up his options as to where he can go to get more regular first team football.

And according to sources in the Middle East he is wanted by Qatari club Al Saad, who are prepared to pay him a stunning €10m a season for three years.

Part of the deal would also see the former Spanish international act as an ambassador to l Sadd’s Aspire Academy, who hope to inspire children to start playing football in time for the 2022 World Cup.

Xavi was thought to be heading for to the United States, but he will also be given the opportunity to study for his coaching badges in Qatar with the view of a burgeoning career in management.
