UEFA president Michel Platini is set to continue his role until 2019 after remaining unopposed as he was re-elected for another term in the European hot-seat. Platini was called on to challenge FIFA president Sepp Blatter, but the Frenchman was adamant that his work leading the governing body for Europe wasn’t over yet.

Improvement in the punishment for racism has been well received with the likes of CSKA Moscow have been severely punished for repeat offences.
However, his objection to technology is infuriating, as Platini continues to favour the two officials behind the goals who don’t seem to do anything.
Hopefully Platini will follow the Premier League’s blueprint in that regard.
