Daniel Levy was reluctant to let the Togo striker leave White Hart Lane in the January window due to a potential battle with the Hammers for European positions at the end of the season.
However, given West Ham’s relatively poor collapse since the turn of the year it’s now thought he and the Spurs board would be more open to sanctioning a deal.
And perhaps more importantly, Adebayor himself would agree to such a move as he wants to remain playing football in London.
His current contract with Spurs ends in 2016 with West Ham likely to loan him next season, reports the Daily Mirror.
This would give the east London club the ability to sign the forward on a free which would make any prospective deal simpler given Adebayor’s current £100,000 a week wages.
