Le TFC changed their head coach during the week as they looked to improve their fortunes in the French top flight. When Alain Casanova was forced out, the club’s chiefs must have been hoping that the club’s revival would begin with a victory over near-neighbours Bordeaux.
They got their wish.
The Pinks looked brighter from the off and opened the scoring on 18 minutes through Wissam Ben Yedder, looking confident again after several difficult months.
However, a familiar foe-defensive instability-came back to haunt them as Diego Rolan finished from close range just before the half-hour mark.
Under Dominique Arribage, Le TFC look to have their self-belief back and Jean Armel Kana-Biyik secured the three points with a header from inside the six-yard box.
Toulouse remain in the drop zone, but as fans filtered out of the Stade Municipal, the mood was much more optimistic for the remaining games of the campaign. Les Roses aren’t finished just yet!
