Arsenal sanctioned the sale of academy graduate Benik Afobe in January to Wolverhampton Wanderers, after the striker enjoyed a successful spell on loan at MK Dons.
Afobe was at Arsenal since the age of nine, accompanying Jack Wilshere through the ranks, but a couple of serious injuries meant that he never quite made the grade at the club.
However, Afobe scored 19 goals in 24 games for MK Dons in the first half of the season, and Wolves snapped him up for a modest £2m to help boost their promotion ambitions. He has since scored eight goals in 13 games, with Kenny Jackett’s side three points off a play-off place.

Afobe’s goalscoring feat has led to an interesting stat emerge, which begs the question as to whether he can do a job in the Premier League, given the likes of Charlie Austin and Rickie Lambert have excelled from the lower divisions.
