The home team supporter fell from the south stand, landing on a man who was walking past with his child. All three were taken to hospital with serious injuries, but so far there are no details of the other two victims.
“We have sent a team to the hospital to have accurate information and I have just been informed that the deceased apparently was twenty-four years old. We can confirm the death,” said Andres Crescenti, the stadium’s Chief Safety Officer.
Crescenti pointed out that an ambulance was sent when they first received news of the incident, but it wasn’t allowed into the facilities of the stadium.
