Kevin De Bruyne has lit up the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg this season, and has contributed more goals and assists than Chelsea’s Spanish playmaker, a £30m summer signing from Barcelona.
De Bruyne, however, cost Wolfsburg just £18m and looks very much like having his best years ahead of him, with the Belgian more of a goalscorer than Fabregas, capable of some stunning solo efforts as he recently displayed against Bayern Munich of all teams.
With 13 goals and 19 assists in all, De Bruyne is far ahead of Fabregas on 4 goals and 18 assists.
