Monaco are flying high in Ligue 1 after a slow start to the season. Leonardo Jardim’s side find themselves in fourth place, following a 3-1 triumph over Evian Thonon Gaillard last weekend.
However, in welcoming SC Bastia-who themselves have improved on struggles earlier in the campaign-they are likely to face a taxing 90 minutes.
Having already implied that he will rest Dimitar Berbatov for the match, Jardim will also have to contend against several other key players.
Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, influential against Evian, is out with an ankle sprain, while France international Jeremy Toulalan, who is still recovering from injury, is another absence.
Player of the month for February Wallace is suspended, while the injury list extends to Andrea Raggi, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Lacina Traore. Geoffrey Kondogbia is also absent according to France Football.
