The two sides will look to build on victories last weekend when they meet at Stade Louis II in Ligue 1 on Friday evening.
Monaco beat Evian Thonon Gaillard on Saturday to keep the pressure up on the top three in the division as they remain in the hunt for Champions League.
However, Jardim has admitted that he has one eye on the club’s Champions League second-leg fixture with Arsenal next week.
A number of absentees have reduced his options, but the return of the experienced Carvalho will come as a boon.
France Football have reported that the former Chelsea defender will be available for selection having fully recovered from a recent calf injury. According to Jardim he “could play” against Bastia on Friday.
