American businessman Josh Harris is in fresh talks with Crystal Palace over a potential takeover of the Premier League club, with the latest of the proposed deals believed to be worth around £80m.

Harris already owns NBA franchise Philadelphia 76ers and the NHL side New Jersey Devils, and is now looking to add the Eagles to his collection of major sides, having failed with his first offer for the South London club earlier this season.
While the deal is described as ‘complex’, it is believed to be ‘progressing’. Harris cooled his interest in the club over the Christmas period as Palace languished in the relegation zone, but their turnaround under new boss Alan Pardew has inspired a fresh bid.
Former Newcastle United coach Pardew has led Palace to relative safety in mid-table, eight points clear of the drop, and within touching distance of a third successive season playing Premier League football.
