Arsenal transfer news
One of the names on the Gunners’ radar is Hoffenheim’s superb Brazilian starlet Roberto Firmino, who has been touted as a replacement for Santi Cazorla if he moves back to Spain with Atletico Madrid, and judging from some of his goals in the Bundesliga he looks a top talent!
Read on to see how Arsenal’s lineup could look next season with three major signings expected in key areas of the squad…
GK: David Ospina
Despite some claims Arsenal could sign a new goalkeeper, David Ospina has done well this season and deserves a shot at being number one.
DR: Mathieu Debuchy
Returning from injury, Mathieu Debuchy should replace Hector Bellerin as first-choice right-back for the Gunners.
DL: Nacho Monreal
Perhaps ahead of Kieran Gibbs in the pecking order now, Nacho Monreal starts at left-back.
DC: Laurent Koscielny
Continuing as one of the two main centre-backs, there is little need to replace the rock-solid Laurent Koscielny in that position.
DC: Neven Subotic
With Per Mertesacker likely to be replaced, Koscielny could have a new partner in Neven Subotic, who has been linked with Arsenal in the last few days.
DM: Francis Coquelin
With some surprisingly strong form this season, Francis Coquelin will surely continue as one of the two main defensive midfielders for Arsenal next season.
DM: Sami Khedira
Joining the Frenchman is free agent Sami Khedira, who has been linked again with Arsenal as he closes in on an exit from Real Madrid. The German could be one of the bargains of the summer.
AMR: Alexis Sanchez
Lining up on the right, but given freedom to interchange with his team-mates, Alexis Sanchez continues as a key member of Arsenal’s attack for next season.
AML: Roberto Firmino
With Cazorla perhaps keen to return to Spain, it looks like Arsenal are keen to bring in 23-year-old Brazil forward Roberto Firmino, who can play a variety of attacking roles and who looks an outstanding prospect.
AMC: Mesut Ozil
After some improved form this season, Mesut Ozil should remain Arsenal’s first choice in the number ten position behind the main striker.
FC: Danny Welbeck
With Olivier Giroud unconvincing recently and Danny Welbeck showing what he can do with a goal against his old club Manchester United, the England man should become first choice central striker.
