GK – Manuel Neuer – Bayern Munich

The Dortmund captain has seen his side staring relegation from the Bundesliga in the face for much of the season, yet his strong performances over the past few campaigns, particularly for Germany, has seen the centre-back described as the ‘complete‘ defender.
LCB – John Terry – Chelsea
Amazingly, the Blues skipper continues to improve with age, and his reading of the game in defence makes him one of the world’s very best in the position.
LB – Alex Sandro – Porto
The Brazilian was excellent in their last 16 victory over FC Basel, showing his versatility in having to switch flanks in the second-leg.
RCM – Santi Cazorla – Arsenal
The Gunners’ magician in midfield – Arsenal will need their maestro to pull all the strings if they are to overcome a 3-1 deficit against AS Monaco in the second-leg.
CM – Marco Verratti – PSG
A conductor of the Paris Saint-Germain midfield – at 22-years-old the youngster has been mooted as replacement to Andre Pirlo for Italy with his ability to dictate the game.
LCM – Paul Pogba – Juventus
Expect the unexpected – the France international has outstanding ability, and could hold the goal of the season award all on his own.
RW – Cristiano Ronaldo – Real Madrid
An easy pick – while he has had a dip in form in 2015 by his own high standards, the Portugal captain became the highest goalscorer in European competitions on Tuesday night with his double against Schalke.
ST – Sergio Aguero – Manchester City
The Argentine’s goal against Barcelona provided the Citizens with hope of progressing to the quarter-finals against Barcelona, and illustrated just how clinical the striker is in front of goal.
LW – Lionel Messi – Barcelona
Barca’s no.10 recently broke Atletico Bilbao legend Telmo Zarra’s La Liga record of 23 hat-tricks, and was breathtaking in the first-leg with Man City, with his form in 2015 simply stunning.
