(Video) West Brom Players Filmed Attacking Aston Villa Fans During FA Cup Pitch Invasion

Will anyone be as quick to condemn them?

Aston Villa fans have come in for a lot of stick this week for their wild celebrations after Saturday’s 2-0 FA Cup quarter final victory over near neighbours West Brom.

Fans foolishly invaded the pitch before the full time whistle and then took to the playing field again in celebration once the referee brought proceedings to a close.

It has been widely reported in the past few days that Villa fans were out of order and their thuggish behaviour has left a scar on the face of what should have been a joyous occasion.

But it is worth noting the video below, in which we can clearly see Villa fans running onto the pitch bypassing the dejected Albion players and heading for the centre circle.

Only a certain few fans were halted by the outstretched leg of James Morrison and Callum McManaman’s shoulders. The Baggies pair take matters into their own hands, with McManaman appearing rather aggressive.

Villa are set to be punished for failing to control their fans, but will the FA punish West Brom’s players, too?
