Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is in disagreement with his assistant manager Ryan Giggs over the best use of star player and captain Wayne Rooney, according to the Daily Mail.

The pair have been the subject of a number of headlines recently after hints of unhappiness from Giggs over the team’s style of play and performance in the recent win at Newcastle United.
It has now emerged that there is also some friction between the two about Rooney’s position in the side this season, with van Gaal usually opting to play the England man in midfield.
Giggs clearly feels, like many, that Rooney’s best position is upfront, where he has spent the vast majority of his career so far.
